I love creating, thinking and designing and have over 20 years experience of sewing. My first job was for Norman Hartnell (The Queen mothers dressmaker), then for M&S so high quality just comes as standard to me, I find it hard to do a bad job, I'd rather start again! I also work part-time at UCA Rochester assisting pre-degree students in projects to give technical supervision in the practical application of sewing and pattern cutting processes, I advise and instruct in the processes of product development, textile sampling, basic sewing, machine embroidery and pattern cutting.
I have always been artistic and creative from a young age when I would cut up 'unwanted' items from my mothers wardrobe and re-make them into something new! but experiences in life, including being a mother myself, have made me practical and resourcefull. I'm easy going and versatile and yet understand the values of encouragement and enjoyment. I like to encourage my girls, students and anyone else that wants to listen to be flexible in their ideas to enable them to achieve and be confident in their abilities.
I draw, paint, cut, sew, sculpt, design, decorate, melt, stick, knit, crochet, recycle, rethink, remake, repurpose.
I love to carry out bespoke work so if you take a fancy to something that you see or any ideas of your own please do get in touch
re-think…re-purpose…re-make…re-use…re-love
